Fourth song release and navigating rejection

I’m slowly starting to get the hang of this whole releasing process and I’ve been learning so much! My fourth song, 84, just came out, and I’m really curious to hear people’s reactions. I wrote this song from the other person’s perspective, to help empathize with them and try to understand their feelings and the choices they made, even though it wasn’t easy. I hope it’ll reach someone out there who can relate and find comfort in it. ♡
On a side note, I’ve been calling this period of time “the month of rejections” because many different things I applied for or tried to achieve unfortunately did not come through (songwriting workshops, collaborations with marketing agencies, getting a song on the radio, project funding,...). I’m pretty disappointed, because I really thought my chances were there, and I’m now almost feeling embarrassed for believing that – funny how that happens. In reality, I know I’ve been pretty lucky, because most of my work has gone relatively smoothly so far. It only makes sense that I would face some obstacles in the road, and I know this is a great opportunity to reevaluate where I stand and keep working toward my goals. Although there’s always room for progress, I do feel like I’m getting better at handling rejection, in any shape or form. But if you have any tips to help with this, I’m all ears!
